Terms of Service
Last updated: May 28, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TastePass and your purchase of our digital travel itineraries. By using TastePass or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
TastePass is operated by Mahmoud Darwish, based in Egypt (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at support@tastepass.co. Our registered postal address is available on written request to the same email.
2. What you are purchasing
TastePass sells digital travel itineraries — personalized, multi-day travel plans delivered electronically as PDF documents. Each itinerary is generated using artificial intelligence based on the destination(s), dates, dietary requirements, and preferences you provide, and includes restaurant recommendations researched for specific dietary needs (for example halal-aware, kosher, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergen-aware dining).
Itineraries are sold on a credit basis. Credits are valid for 18 months from the date of purchase and may be redeemed as a single multi-destination trip or across multiple separate trips. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page.
3. Seller of record (Paddle)
Our order process and payments are handled by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. When you buy an itinerary, Paddle is the seller of record: Paddle handles the transaction, charges your payment method, collects and remits any applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax), and issues your receipt. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Conditions, available on Paddle’s website. We do not store your full payment-card details.
4. Delivery
Itineraries are delivered electronically to the email address associated with your order, typically after you have reviewed and finalized your draft. Because these are digital goods delivered electronically, please review our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In summary, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase provided you have not downloaded the delivered itinerary PDF; after download, refunds are granted at our discretion. All refunds are processed through Paddle.
6. Dietary information — important disclaimer
Our dietary research is provided in good faith but is not a guarantee. Restaurant menus, ingredients, recipes, preparation methods, and certifications change frequently and vary by location and chef, and cross-contamination can occur in any kitchen.
If you have a food allergy, intolerance, religious dietary requirement, or medical condition, you must independently confirm suitability directly with each restaurant before ordering or eating. TastePass does not provide medical, nutritional, or religious-certification advice, and is not liable for any allergic reaction, illness, or other harm arising from reliance on our recommendations.
7. Intellectual property
All content, software, templates, branding, knowledge bases, and design that make up TastePass are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. When you purchase an itinerary, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the delivered itinerary for your own personal, non-commercial travel. You may not resell, republish, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit any itinerary or other TastePass content without our prior written consent.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, scraping or bulk-extracting content, or using it for any unlawful purpose.
9. Third-party services
Itineraries may reference or link to third-party businesses and services, including restaurants, attractions, tour operators, and booking platforms. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, pricing, or terms. Any booking you make with a third party is a contract between you and that third party.
10. Disclaimers
Itineraries are provided for general informational and planning purposes. Opening hours, prices, availability, entry requirements, and local conditions can change without notice and should be verified before you travel. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TastePass and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service or any itinerary. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service or an itinerary shall not exceed the amount you paid for the itinerary giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The courts located in the Arab Republic of Egypt shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
