Your pass to dining without doubt
TastePass exists for one kind of traveller: someone who plans a trip around the food, and wants to eat well in an unfamiliar city without the guesswork.
The problem we started with
Food is the number one reason a lot of us travel. But in a city you do not know, your options are thin: a chatbot that will confidently send you to a restaurant that closed years ago or never existed, or a map with hundreds of pins and no sense of what is worth your one dinner. For Arab and Muslim travellers there is an extra layer of doubt about what is genuinely worth the trip, and it usually gets answered with a shrug.
What we do differently
We build around real, verified places, none invented. Every venue is checked as a real, currently-open spot through Google Places, curated by hand for each city, and given a Google Maps link so you get its live rating and hours instead of a number frozen into a PDF. We write honestly: halal and dietary notes are helpful content, never a verdict, and we always say confirm with the venue. And we treat Arabic as a first language, written to stand on its own, not run through a machine at the end.
How we make money, honestly
The city food guides are free for everyone, forever. If you want the whole day planned for you, that is an optional paid plan, from $9. And where we point you to a place to stay or a tour, it is a clearly disclosed link and you pay nothing extra. We are the referrer, never the travel agent, and we only ever link to a service that actually exists for that city.
Who is behind it
TastePass is built and run by one person, who curates the cities, writes the guides, and reads every support email. Small on purpose. That is exactly why every recommendation has to be worth trusting, there is no room to fake it and no reason to.
We would rather show you less than fake more
No invented places, no stock photo standing in for a spot we have never seen, no invented testimonials or partner logos, and no number we have not earned. Honesty is the luxury we are selling.
