AVOID
Carbonara, Saltimbocca, Amatriciana — all contain guanciale or prosciutto (pork). Pajata is calf intestines, not slaughtered halal.
ASK FIRST
Marinara sauce is typically cooked with white wine at this restaurant. Request "senza vino" and the kitchen will prepare a fresh version without.
AVOID
Tiramisu contains Marsala wine. Panna cotta may use gelatin (often pork-derived). Skip both desserts — try the seasonal fruit.
SAFE
Cacio e Pepe, Pasta al Pomodoro, Pizza Margherita, Gnocchi al Sugo, Bruschetta. All alcohol-free, pork-free. Pecorino Romano traditional rennet may not be halal — ask if it matters to you.
ALLERGENS
Gluten-free pasta available on request. Pesto contains pine nuts. Most pasta contains eggs.

Day 1 — Rome

Arrival day, relaxed pace

Pacing matters more than coverage on day one. Everything below is walkable or a short hop, and every restaurant carries the same dietary detail as the card above.

09:00

Hotel check-in / drop bags

Stay in the Trastevere area for walkable evenings.

11:00

Colosseum + Roman Forum

Pre-booked timed entry (we link the official tickets). About 3 hours including the walk between them.

13:30

Lunch at Trattoria da Augustarello

The example above — a 12-min walk from the Forum. Halal-safe dishes are listed on the card.

15:30

Capitoline Museums (optional, indoor break)

Or rest at the hotel — pacing matters more than coverage on day one.

19:30

Dinner at Pizzeria da Remo, Testaccio

Famous wood-fired pizza. Margherita and Marinara are halal-safe. Walk back along the Lungotevere — the best Tiber views are at night.

Night

Optional gelato stop at Otaleg, Trastevere

Verify a dairy-only base if you're avoiding pork-derived stabilizers — ask before you order.

This is one day. Your trip gets all of them.
